A Thousand More

DSC_0280resizeI’m feeling so much better, more myself, more open, more emotional. They seem to go together. I have so much appreciation bubbling over for my husband today. He’s really the best thing that’s ever happened to me. I wish everyone would get the chance to feel adored and treasured as my husband leaves me feeling daily.

I heard A Thousand Years by Christina Perry, sung by Jasmine Thompson, this morning and it brought tears to my eyes. Here’s what I heard:

Above all, I love the connection between my husband and me.

Last Thursday, while he was finishing up a job and getting ready to come back home, I was working on dinner and thought, I should run him a bath with Epsom salts. I had never done it before, but the message, yes it felt like a message, was loud and clear. I figured if he didn’t want to relax in the tub, I could easily drain it.

He, not surprising to either of us, was thinking the same thing as he was cleaning up at the site. We hear each other like that often. I wish I could control it but it just seems to happen when it happens. We bathed together as soon as he got home and it was lovely.

We’ve always had a great connection and I also believe that time together makes it even stronger. I feel lucky to have the love I have found with him, lucky to be regaining my health, lucky to be alive and have great relationships with my family.

It’s clear to me why I write about love. Love and feeling connected is everything to me. It’s why friendship is also a big component in my stories. I want my characters to deal with the obstacles in their lives to get to the love they need. What is better than that? Nothing I can think of.

Thank you to everyone out there who loves and cares about me. You help my life so great. And, I do hope I get to love my husband for a thousand years more.

Please share your love stories with us.

Warmest hugs,

Blakely

  1. That was the most beautiful and touching story I’ve heard of a connection between two people who were definitely soul bound. God has blessed you Blakely!

  2. I’m so happy to hear you are feeling better! Finding your soul mate is truly a wonderful thing that not everyone is lucky enough to experience. That love and bond shows through in the way you talk about your relationship. Sometimes, as in my case, it takes many years. But I’m also blessed to have found mine, too.
