His Domain

own riskIn some ways, my husband and I fall into the traditional gender roles. If we found ourselves in a dangerous situation, he would put me behind him and protect us both. And just last week when the bat flew into our house, I screamed like a silly woman and let him handle it. In most other ways, we share the traditional gender roles between us, like shopping, cooking, cleaning, and child rearing. However, the garage is most definitely his domain and I tend to stay out of it. Continue reading

Living with an Open Heart

heartsBeing human can be odd at times. Somewhere along the line, most of us decided good emotions are preferable and the bad ones should be avoided, shoved down, and/or pushed away. It’s quite understandable because pain, jealousy, anger, and hate can be very uncomfortable. The problem with closing off from the “bad” emotions is that we dull our ability to feel the good ones. Love at First Sight?

ID-100208222Do you believe in love at first sight?

As much as I am the romantic, believe in true love and write about it all the time, I don’t believe in love at first sight. Lust at first sight? Sure, that happens all the time. Chemistry, attraction, recognition, all I believe can happen in a moment’s notice. Love, nope. Continue reading

Blakely: Hi Domidique. Thank you so much for joining us today! We are all looking forward to finding out what makes you kinky.
Domidique: Genetics. 😉 I think it may be that my folks passed down something in the gene pool.

Blakely: What’s your definition of kinky?
Domidique: In the beginning, I didn’t know I was kinky, but then there are some things you never should say out loud at parties, because it stops all conversations and out of the silence someone says, “That’s kinky.” Continue reading

Side Effects

ID-100173634Unbeknownst to me, I’ve been poisoning myself for over a year. I’ve experienced a myriad of uncomfortable symptoms and have tried to figure out what was wrong with me. I’ve been tired upon waking, muscles sore all over my body, especial my jaw and neck, cloudy brain, which has kept me from writing, and times where I thought I was having early onset of dementia, not able to pull up a name of a good friend.

At first, I thought it was partly because I hadn’t been exercising regularly. So, for about four months straight, I walked almost every single day. It didn’t help at all. I actually felt worse. I went to my doctor to find out what was wrong with me. She had no clue, although I think she should have. I had her run blood tests for SED (inflammation) and autoimmune diseases. My SED was high, a huge jump from the year before, but she didn’t think it was a big deal since my other tests were negative. Continue reading

You Like What?

cartoon me likes and dislikesI am forever fascinated about likes and dislikes and why I have the preferences I do. Why does my husband prefer what he calls the medi look (dark, curly hair and curvy)? Why do I love blowjobs, anal sex, sweets, and independent movies? Why do I abhor mustard, arrogant men, things that push my patience and men in dresses?

Okay, obviously, there are many other items to add to the list but the point is about the WHY of it. Why have I come to like or cum to like what I have? Is it merely genetics? Is that the long and the short of it? Should I throw in the nature vs. nurture argument? Maybe I was beaten with a pastrami and swiss on rye with mustard and have blocked it out, which is why I can’t stomach any of those ingredients? Continue reading
